Creating Dylio: Part I

Dear readers, today we will unveil the creative design process that led Zuci, our conceptual artist, to develop the final design of Dylio, the main character of our upcoming video game: Dylio's Adventures.
For the moment, and if you have been paying attention to our publications on the networks, we know that our mysterious protagonist is a yellow armadillo that has not always been like this...
Below, we will share additional details about the character, beginning with the indications that Zuci used for his initial conceptualizations:
"A clay Armadillo comes to life"
During the game, Dylio will need to cover a long distance quickly, which would be impossible for him due to his short legs. However, he can use his defensive posture, "rolling into a ball," to roll at full speed.
We selected warm and pastel colours when choosing the right palette for our main character.
During our creative process, we defined Dylio, as "the yellow clay armadillo".

In this preview, we learned about the steps and decisions that went into creating the character. We also discovered that during the game, Dylio will be made of clay and able to roll into a ball shape quickly. But why?
